rePurpose Repair Cafe
Join rePurpose for a Repair Cafe at the South Whidbey Community Center, 723 Camano Ave. in Langley. Enter the door under the large mural with children holding a flower in the “Art Cafe” which is part of the gym to the right of the main community center entrance.
Bring your broken items from home and work with volunteer specialists to make your repairs in the Repair Café. This is a free meeting place where we’ll repair things together as part of a zero waste, circular economy. You’ll find tools, materials and repair volunteers to help you make the repairs you need on clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, crockery, appliances, toys, et cetera. Fill out this form so that we know what items and repairs to expect.
If you have nothing to repair, you can observe, tinker, take things apart and enjoy the community. Or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job.

Peg Loom Weaving
Local textile artist, Rachel Joseph, will lead this, hands-on class using reusable materials for peg loom weaving. Great for teens and adults. Take home your weaving creation. Small group: eight students max. Attend for free or by donation. Register by emailing joan@repurposewhidbey.org.
