Sip your favorite brew while you learn a thing or two! The Sip & Science series is meant to offer an informal, welcoming environment to learning about the world around you. No science background necessary—just a thirst for knowledge!

Bring your broken items from home and work with volunteer specialists to make your repairs in the Repair Café. This is a free meeting place where we’ll repair things together as part of a zero waste, circular economy. You’ll find tools, materials and support to help you make the repairs you need on clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, et cetera. You’ll also find expert volunteers, with repair skills in all kinds of fields.
If you have nothing to repair, you can observe, tinker, take things apart and enjoy the community. Or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job.

Earth Day Art Making
All ages are invited to this art making workshop with artist Joan Green from Green Art Labs. We'll make art to celebrate the Earth by creating with reusable materials. We'll open up our salad bar of colorful, interesting and open-ended materials and you can get creative at this grand opening weekend of the Art Cafe.

Community Drop Off Day: Hard to Recycle Items
Do you have hard-to-recycle items cluttering up your home? Bottle caps, light bulbs, electronics - we all have them. But what can we do with them? Join rePurpose for a day of education and proper repurposing!
On Saturday, September 16, from 12pm to 4pm, we'll be accepting difficult-to-recycle items listed here. Community members can bring their items and get connected with like-minded people while learning about the downstream waste cycle and information on becoming a rePurpose member.
Our team will be on hand to answer any questions you have about how to dispose of these items responsibly.
In addition to providing a convenient way to dispose of your items, we'll also be presenting educational information on how to reduce waste and recycle properly. We'll cover topics like what happens to your waste after it leaves your home, and how you can reduce your waste footprint in your everyday life.
After the event, our team will ensure that all items are organized for reuse, transported to transfer stations and proper locations for reuse or recycling.
Don't let your hard-to-manage items clutter up your home any longer! Join us for an afternoon of education and resource navigation, and make a difference in your community's environmental footprint.
