We're Hiring Two Team Members:
On-Site Coordinator and Operations Support Specialist
The rePurpose Reuse and Recycling Center is dedicated to reducing landfill waste by providing a vibrant hub for reuse, recycling, and community education. We host regular member drop-off events, support zero waste efforts, and foster sustainability through hands-on learning and volunteer involvement. We are centered on Rapid and Just Climate Action and social justice, and are seeking team members who hold these values.
We are seeking two reliable, organized, and community-minded team members to help facilitate the day-to-day operations of our Reuse and Recycling Center. These are independent contractor roles and are ideal for someone rooted in social justice, passionate about sustainability and community engagement, with strong coordination and communication skills.
Location: Langley, WA at the rePurpose Reuse and Recycling Center at The People’s House, 724 Camano Ave. and other locations in Langley.
Independent Contractor (approximately 15-20 hours/week, with the possibility of more hours as needed or agreed upon) Both positions are paid $21.55/hour.
On-site Coordinator position is 20 hours/week and includes hosting seven+ drop-off event days per month, with limited nights and weekends. Some flexible hours for planning and coordination.
Operations Support Specialist position is 15 hours/week including mostly flexible hours for processing materials, short transporting trips, zero waste events, dishware rentals and coordination and back up support for seven+ drop-off event days per month, with limited nights and weekends.
