rePurpose Drop-Off Events
In Summer 2023, rePurpose launched a reuse and recycling drop off program for hard-to-recycle items. The drop off program is a benefit of membership in rePurpose. You can join rePurpose here.
Once you join rePurpose, you can pick up a big blue bag at one of our member drop off events. The blue bag is 28.74"L x 14.17"W x 13.98"H, which holds 93 liters or approximately 3 grocery bags. Then you can fill it each month with the reusable and hard-to-recycle items we accept below and bring the items to one of our monthly drop off events listed here on the rePurpose events page.
Below is a list of items we’re accepting. We cannot accept items that are not on this list. Items must be empty, clean, and dry and fit in the blue bag(s). We can accept extra items if you make an additional donation of $25 per the size of the blue bag.
We appreciate you taking acceptable items to local recycling transfer stations and thrift stores on the island, and using our services for reusables and hard to recycle items only.
We accept the following materials: All acceptable items are repurposed and exchanged where possible, or are recycled as locally as possible.
